It had mostly opaque color coverage with a smooth, lightweight texture that had moderate slip. It’s a very comfortable formula to wear as it was moderately hydrating over time, but the wear time was three and a half hours and a smidgen of color pulled into the more obvious lip lines on my bottom lip. It had semi-opaque color coverage, and while the texture didn’t tug and still felt smooth/slightly wet as I maneuvered it across my lips, it was one of the more unflattering Guerlain lipsticks I’ve tried–it seemed to accentuate lip lines and the texture of my lips. FORMULA OVERVIEW | Guerlain KissKiss Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.12 oz.) is supposed to have a “lip-shaping and plumping effect” from hyaluronic acid spheres and “incredibl[e] hydration” with a “fine, even, and rich creamy texture … with impeccable hold.” They’re a lightweight, very creamy and fairly emollient/slippery formula that’s lightly hydrating and gives lips a smoother appearance. I find that they have more color and less slip compared to Shine Automatiques but more slip and shine than Rouge Automatiques. They’re lighter-weight, more emollient, and less hydrating than Rouge Gs. They wear longer than Shine Automatiques but shorter than Rouge Automatiques and Rouge Gs. If you like the shine and shimmer of the Shine Automatique range but want more color coverage, then this might be the right formula for you. If you prefer the wear and hold of Rouge Gs, this formula is noticeably different. The lipsticks are violet-scented but have no discernible taste.
