Tom Ford Beauty White Suede Eye Color Quad ($88.00 for 0.35 oz.) is a new, limited edition quad that includes a sparkling peach, pale pink-peach, darker brown, and bluish-gray. It was an interesting mix of shades due to the deeper gray included along the three, more warm-toned neutral hues, though the four shades came together cohesively. I found the gray eyeshadow to be less blendable and had slight fallout when I worked with the deeper brown hue. The shade I liked best was the soft peach, which was nicely pigmented and easy to work with, but the other three had room for improvement.

White Suede #1

White Suede #1 is a medium-dark peachy beige with subtle, warm undertones and flecs of silver sparkle. It had more of a slippery feel in the pan, almost like a cream-powder, that was thin and held the sparkles together better than a traditional powder eyeshadow would. It went on fairly evenly but was best applied by pressing and patting into place using a flat, synthetic brush; for better coverage, I’d recommend using it with a dampened brush or with a fingertip. It had sheer coverage applied one layer (and finally, I saw it noted, officially, as “sheer sparkle”) which was buildable to medium to semi-opaque coverage with a dry brush or mostly opaque coverage with a dampened brush. There was some fallout when I diffused and worked the edges, and then there was some more fallout over the eight hours it lasted for.

White Suede #2 is a bright, pale pink-peach with subtle, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had good pigmentation that was just shy of full coverage, but it build up well and had such a shiny finish that it was hard to tell that it wasn’t opaque at times. The texture was smooth, thin but not dry or difficult to work with, and the eyeshadow applied evenly and blended out effortlessly. It wore well for eight hours on me before fading slightly.

White Suede #3 is a soft, medium-dark brown with subtle, warm undertones and flecks of gold, micro-sparkle over a satin finish. It had excellent color payoff that adhered evenly to bare skin and blended out well along the edges, though there was slight fallout during application. The consistency was smooth to the touch, a little slippery (not wet but more that it felt more silicone-heavy), and sat well on my skin. It stayed on well for eight hours on me before it started to fade noticeably.

White Suede #4 is a medium-dark, bluish-gray with cool undertones and a pearly sheen. It had nearly opaque pigmentation with a soft, smooth texture that seemed like it had all the makings of a great eyeshadow, but it was a struggle to really diffuse and soften the edge of this shade without reaching for something else to help it along. The color lasted well for eight hours on me before I noticed any fading.
