NARS Quai des Brumes Eyeshadow Duo ($35.00 for 0.14 oz.) consists of a medium, silvery purple and a matte, dark taupe. The two colors go together well, as the darker matte shade adds contrast but can also be layered over the more shimmery shade to mute and darken it but still let some shimmer peek through.

Quai des Brumes (Left) is amuted, medium, silvery purple with warmer undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. It had great pigmentation with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that wasn’t too dense or too soft, so it applied to bare skin well and stayed true-to-pan in its intensity. Quai des Brumes (Right) is a dark, smoky taupe with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. There were a few sparkles in the pan, but they did not translate swatched or applied to the lid. The consistency was very soft, almost velvety, with a tendency to sheer out to semi-opaque coverage on the skin, even though it was rather pigmented initially. It wore for six and a half hours before fading, so I would highly recommend using a primer with this one as my lids seemed to eat this one up!
