NARS Arnera Audacious Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a vibrant, deep pink-coral with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation that covered my lips with smooth, even coverage, though there was a smidgen of product that sat in my deeper lip lines. The consistency seemed slightly thinner and more emollient than the average shade in the formula, so the end result didn’t seem as flattering on my lips as I’ve seen it be! The texture was still lightweight, creamy, and comfortable to apply and to wear, though. It stayed on well for five hours and was lightly hydrating over time.

The formula is supposed to have "one-stroke, full-coverage" pigmentation with a "soft matte finish" that is "long-lasting" and "hydrating." The formula is best characterized by its texture: creamy, smooth, and slightly denser/thicker on (but not heavy) compared to the typical lipstick formula. Most of the shades are opaque, while "weak" shades are more semi-opaque. The majority of the colors I've tested have applied evenly and smoothly with good glide and feel comfortable on my lips. They tend to last between four and six hours and was lightly hydrating to non-drying. There was no noticeable scent or taste.

It had nearly opaque color payoff in a single layer, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without tugging or dragging. The texture was lightweight, creamy without being too emollient, and dense enough to adhere for longer-wear but still be comfortable to wear over time. This shade lasted nicely for six hours and was lightly moisturizing while worn.
