Sunphoria (Feminine Wiles)

MAC Sunphoria (Feminine Wiles) Foiled Eyeshadow ($20.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a light lavender with subtle, warm undertones and a bright, metallic finish that was slightly more sparkly than other shades in the same formula. The texture was soft, lightly creamy, and blendable without being too firmly or too softly pressed into the pan, though it wasn’t quite as creamy as other shades in the line. It had good pigmentation applied dry but it was more pigmented applied with a dampened brush (while also making the finish more metallic). This shade lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

This shade was previously released as “Feminine Wiles” in 2015. I think the formula felt slightly creamier across the board, but it’s possible there’s been some change in texture in that 5-year period! The shimmer in the just-released shades seemed a touch finer or else the base pigment came through a bit, which gave the end result a smoother, more reflective finish.

MAC Tide ‘n’ Seek (Magic in Your Eyes) Foiled Eyeshadow ($20.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a medium-dark purple-taupe with subtle, warmer undertones and almost cool-toned sheen that gave it a metallic finish overall. The consistency felt soft, smooth, and lightly creamy that made it dense but still yielding and easy to pick up with a brush.

It applied well both wet as well as dry with full coverage delivered in a single layer, but the finish was smoother and more metallic applied wet. It wore nicely for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.

MAC White Haute (Fairy Land) Foiled Eyeshadow ($20.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a light-medium gold with strong, warm undertones–but not to the point where it leaned orange–paired with a metallic sheen. It had excellent pigmentation in a single layer, regardless of dry or wet application, though the dampened application resulted in a smoother sheen.

The texture felt smooth to the touch, more like a cream-powder that was dense but not thick or stiff, so it picked up well with a brush and had good adhesion to bare skin. This shade lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

It had opaque color payoff applied dry as well as wet, but the dampened application intensified the sheen to be more reflective, slightly smoother.

The texture felt lightly creamy, dense and almost like a gel-powder, as it had a touch of give but was still quite powder-like during application. It wore well for eight and a half hours before fading visibly on me.
