Hourglass Valentine’s Day 2019 Confession Ultra Slim High Intensity Lipstick Set ($72.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a new, limited edition duo of two full-sized Confession Lipsticks (and yes, they really are 0.03 oz.), and each comes with a gold cap (they’re not just refills). Both shades had good pigmentation, were comfortable to apply and to wear, and lasted for five hours on me while having a lightly hydrating formula. Confession Lipsticks retail for $36 for a full-sized lipstick + packaging ($22 for refill only), so the set is worth exactly $72!

All of Me

All of Me is a rich, medium-dark pink-coral with warm undertones and a cream finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation–very, very slight translucency along my upper and lower edges of my lips–with a smooth, creamy consistency that hugged my lips without feeling clingy. The lipstick felt lightweight and didn’t seem slippery, though a bit of product sat in my lip lines; it was, thankfully, unnoticeable from a normal viewing distance. It wore well for five hours and was lightly hydrating over time.

Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to have "creamy, saturated, longwearing color with a satin finish." It's a light-medium thick formula that was typically opaque with a lightly creamy texture that glided on without tugging but did not slide around while worn. The majority of shades had a natural to satin finish, and they lasted anywhere from four to seven hours with light hydration. The best performing shades were light to dark while the lightest and deepest shades weren't quite as consistent.

The lipstick can be purchased with the full packaging/applicator for $34 or as a refill-only for $22. The refill packaging is substantial enough that it is usable on its own, as there's a detachable base that the refillable cap clicks onto (with an audible click), but they are very slim--and that's not a surprise given they only contain 0.03 oz. making them one of the smaller lipsticks on the market. Slim lipsticks typically contain around 0.07 oz. of product and are usually smaller than the average standard lipstick tube (which tends to be between 0.10 and 0.12 oz.).

Loves All of You is slightly muted, medium-dark copper with warm, balanced red and orange undertones and a satin finish. The pigmentation was opaque in a single layer, which adhered evenly and smoothly across my lips without emphasizing my lip lines. It had a lightweight, creamy consistency that glided easily over my lips but never felt slippery. This shade stayed on well for five hours and was moisturizing while worn.
