Charlotte Tilbury The Uptown Girl Eyeshadow Quad ($52.00 for 0.18 oz.) includes four shades is a mix of peach and purple. The color payoff, texture, and wear of the three of the four shades is really nice, but I wasn’t keen on the more glittery shade as it was sheerer and had a fair amount of fall out while worn. I also wished for more finish variation, as the overall look is rather metallic applied.

This brand has been available (along with this particular quad) for awhile in the UK, and I bought this from Selfridges, but it will be available stateside at Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom, Beautylish, NET-A-PORTER today, September 2nd.

The Uptown Girl #1 is a golden peach with warm, yellow undertones and a frosted, metallic sheen. The consistency was soft and buttery, but it didn’t go on quite as smoothly as desired–almost like it was too soft–so I would recommend picking up less product than you think. It had good color payoff, and the eyeshadow lasted for nine hours before fading. bareMinerals Ball Gown (V2) (P) is darker. LORAC Beige (P) is less shimmery. theBalm #7 (P, $6.50) is darker. Tarina Tarantino Delightful #4 (P) is darker, less shimmery. MAC Exquisite Ego #1 (LE, $21.00) is less warm-toned. Marc Jacobs Beauty The Starlet #2 (P) is darker, more muted. The Uptown Girl #2 is a gray-ish purple with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had nice pigmentation, and the texture was soft and smooth, while the color didn’t start to fade until after nine hours of wear. Ardency Inn Disco (P, $21.00) is darker. MAC Fall in Lust (LE, $15.00) is warmer, lighter. Chanel Tisse Camelia #4 (P) is darker, less shimmery. YSL Saharienne #5 (P) is lighter. Too Faced Nashville (P, $16.00) is cooler-toned. Giorgio Armani #16 (P, $32.00) is darker. MAC Fathoms Deep (LE, $19.50) is darker, cooler-toned. MAC Pearled Earth (P, $15.00) is similar. Too Faced Candied Violet (P, $16.00) is less shimmery. Laura Mercier Twilight (LE, $24.00) is cooler-toned. Urban Decay Darkside (P, $18.00) is darker, less shimmery. Too Faced Bluff (LE, $16.00) is cooler-toned. The Uptown Girl #3 is a light, warm-toned peach with a glittery finish. It was semi-sheer, and it had an almost wet-like texture that was thinner than the other shades. This shade seemed best patted over another color, rather than used on its own. I had moderate fall out while I wore this, unfortunately, so you may find an adhesive or cream eyeshadow base helpful. MAC Fabulous Three #2 (LE) is darker, less glittery. Tom Ford Beauty In the Pink #3 (LE) is darker. MAC Summer Honey (LE, $21.00) is similar. MAC Pastelluxe #2 (P) is lighter. The Uptown Girl #4 is a medium-dark, warm-toned, muted purple with a soft, frosted finish. It had good pigmentation that went on evenly as the consistency of the powder was soft and finely-milled. It wore well for eight and a half hours when I tested it. Ardency Inn Disco (P, $21.00) is more sparkly, lighter. Make Up For Ever ME930 Black Purple (P, $21.00) is brighter, darker.
