The Joues Contraste formula is supposed to have “buildable coverage, from natural to dramatic” with a “flattering radiance” and “silky texture.” It’s not a new shade by any means (it’s been around for years), but having loved a few of the recent shades Chanel’s added over the last year, I bought this one with my last Chanel order (the spring collection). The texture is soft and blendable, though I found it dusty and less smooth compared to other Chanel powder blushes–I think it has little bits of larger-sized sparkle that contribute (at least partially) to that feeling. On the skin, it blended out without trouble and yielded a soft, satiny sheen. The coverage is semi-sheer to semi-opaque, buildable without much effort and layered without becoming patchy or powdery. The color wore well for seven and a half hours on me.
