Chanel Romance (955) Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner ($33.00 for 0.01 oz.) is a soft, rosy copper with subtle, warm undertones and a fine, pearly shimmer throughout that gave it more of a satin-to-pearl finish applied. The texture was smooth, lightly creamy, and comfortable to work with on my lower lash line as it did not tug or skip.

It had semi-opaque, buildable coverage that applied best with shorter, overlapping strokes, which ensured full coverage as I went. The eyeliner stayed on nicely for nine hours before showing signs of fading/thinning.

The Stylo Yeux formula is supposed to be a “waterproof, smudge-proof” eyeliner with a “gentle, soft” texture. I gave up on this formula bit ago, as the majority of shades I had tried had a really firm, stiff, and painful-to-use texture, but new releases have much improved!

They are much, much creamier without being too wet, so they didn’t transfer or migrate easily. The formula was easy (and not painful!) to use even on my waterline. The eyeliners lasted nine hours or more on me.

Chanel Psyche (959) Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner ($33.00 for 0.01 oz.) is a deep, red-burgundy with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single stroke, which built up readily to full coverage with less than a second layer. When I applied in shorter, overlapping strokes, it was opaque without having to go back through my liner.

The texture was lightly creamy, smooth, and had good glide without being overly slippery or prone to migrating as it set. Once in place, it was smudgeable for several seconds before setting all-day wear. The liner started to look a bit thinner, though still quite present, after nine and a half hours of wear.
