Tom Ford Beauty Summer 2019 Boys & Girls Clutch Size Lip Color Trio ($88.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a new, limited edition trio of Boys & Girls Lip Colors exclusively available during Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale (open now to cardholders, July 19th to the public). Two shades are Lip Color Sheers (Whitney and Philippa) and one is an Ultra-Rich Lip Color (Antonia). Whitney and Philippa were a bit shorter-wearing and were more pigmented than marketed, while Antonia didn’t apply as flatteringly as expected.

Whitney

Whitney is a medium, rosy pink with warm undertones and a soft, metallic finish with finer pearl. The texture was lightweight, creamy without being too slippery, and comfortable to apply and to wear in a single stroke. It had more semi-opaque color coverage that applied evenly and didn’t emphasize my lip lines. This shade stayed on well for three and a half hours but was lightly hydrating over time.

The Lip Color Sheer formula is supposed to have a "semi-sheer effect" with a "creamy" and "hydrating" formula. They are a sheerer lip color, which may or may not be one's cup of tea; if you are looking for pigment, look elsewhere, but if you're someone who likes sheerer coverage, lightweight, hydrating textures, then it might be a formula for you.

There are several shades in the range that have a more transformative effect, as they contain a lot of shimmer/sparkle or have a more duochrome or iridescent-like finish. There are others, typically deeper, richer hues (reds, berries, etc.) that are more medium coverage. The wear ranged a lot from as short as two hours to as long as five hours but most wore around three hours. The formula is lightly hydrating with a very lightweight feel on the lips. They are vanilla scented but have no discernible taste.

Philippa is a medium-dark, peachy beige with warm undertones and a soft, metallic sheen. It had a more luminous, lightly glossy finish to it as well. It had medium, buildable coverage (up to semi-opaque) with a lightweight, moderately emollient texture that had some slip but didn’t sink noticeably into my lip lines. The color applied evenly and was comfortable to apply and to wear. It lasted well for three and a half hours on me and was lightly moisturizing while worn.

Antonia is a bright, medium-dark orange with warm, red undertones and barely-there gold pearl. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that could have applied a bit more evenly, as it had a tendency to separate along my upper lip and around my deeper lip lines. The texture was lightweight, moderately emollient, and thin without being clingy. The color wore well for four and a half hours and was lightly hydrating while worn.
