Pat McGrath Divine Rose LUST Lip Gloss ($28.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a soft, medium pink with warmer undertones and fine gold pearl. It had good color coverage, though not quite opaque, and had more of a cream base that was slightly milky overall. There was a touch of color that sank into my lip lines, but it wasn’t noticeable from a normal viewing distance. It had a smooth, plush consistency that was comfortable to wear and non-sticky. This shade wore well for four hours and was hydrating over time.

Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to have "multidimensional shine" with a "non-sticky texture" that "nourishes" with "exceptional adherence." The opacity ranges from "opaque to transparent." The color coverage really does vary quite a bit, but most of the shades I've tried are sheer to medium in coverage--the brand could be clearer on which shades are opaque.

The consistency has a smooth, lightweight texture that wasn't tacky and was comfortable to wear. For the most part, they didn't seem to sink into my lip lines, which can be a pitfall of gloss. I didn't find the wear time to be better than average--three to four hours--but the formula was moderately hydrating. There was a subtle vanilla scent but no discernible taste when worn.

Pat McGrath Bronze Temptation LUST Lip Gloss ($28.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a soft, medium coral with gold shimmer. It had medium coverage that went on fairly evenly and didn’t sink into my lip lines. The gloss had a smooth, lightweight consistency that was plush and comfortable to wear. It wasn’t tacky and stayed on well for three hours. The formula felt moisturizing while worn.
