NYX Rose Gold HD Blush ($6.50 for 0.16 oz.) is a brightened, medium orange-coral with warm, reddish undertones and a strong, golden frost. It had semi-opaque coverage that was buildable to mostly true-to-pan color. The texture was silky to the touch, which made it easy to blend and work into the skin, and the fineness of the powder helped it adhere smoothly. The only downside is that it is a little powdery and kicks up excess in the pan, but luckily, that powderiness doesn’t translate on the skin. This shade wore for seven and a half hours on me. This blush has an incredibly soft, finely-milled consistency… that gets everywhere, because it is so powdery that is easy to get far more product than you need on the brush and onto your face (it also wastes some!). You need a really, really light touch and just lightly pat the surface of the blush with your brush to minimize the mess. It had semi-opaque pigmentation with a more heavily frosted finish, though it didn’t emphasize pores once it is blended out. I noticed fading with this one after seven hours. FORMULA SUMMARY | NYX’s newest blush formula is supposed to be a “high definition, lightweight blush that blends evenly” that is “vibrant and silky.” The texture tended to be on the more powdery side, but it sits well and doesn’t look powdery applied. Many shades have a more luminous finish to them where the shimmer is fine enough to create a glow, rather than a frosted finish (though a couple are quite shimmery). The formula blends fairly easily on the skin and has medium, buildable coverage with some being very pigmented right off the bat. The wear time is between seven and eight hours.
