Makeup Geek Fortune Teller Foiled Eyeshadow

Here are the last four shades of the newly released Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow ($9.99 for 0.064 oz.) shades! As previously mentioned, the formula is designed as a cross between a powder and cream eyeshadow, and it’s supposed to have “intense pigmentation” with a “smooth, silky” texture. The brand has stated that those with oilier skin types will need a primer as these are prone to creasing due to the ingredients used in it. My testing showed that this formula creased faster over primers like Urban Decay Primer Potion and NARS Smudgeproof compared to just applying them to my bare lids, which are normal-to-dry. When applied over MAC Painterly Paint Pot, wear seemed to extend for about two hours longer than on bare lids.

Makeup Geek Starry Eyed Foiled Eyeshadow ($9.99 for 0.064 oz.) is described as a “light champagne beige with slight pink undertones and a foiled finish.” It’s a muted, light-medium beige with hints of peach, warm undertones, and a frosted sheen. It had great color payoff that went on very smoothly. The texture was dense, thicker, and very smooth, but it sometimes can emphasize the texture of the lids if you over-apply it. Over NARS/Urban Decay primers, it lasted for five hours; on bare lids, seven hours; and over MAC Painterly, nine hours. Surratt Beauty Soie (P, $20.00) is lighter. It was richly pigmented with a creamy, smooth texture that was easily blended on the skin. It wore for five and a half hours over NARS/Urban Decay primers, seven and a half hours over bare lids, and nine and a half hours over MAC Painterly. LORAC Unlimited (P) is warmer. This shade had a lot of richness and depth to the color. It was intensely pigmented and really smooth and creamy to the touch. It had fairly good color payoff, but it wasn’t as opaque as other shades in the launch. The texture was soft, creamy, and blendable on the skin. On me, it lasted for five hours over NARS/Urban Decay Primer Potion, seven and a half hours over bare skin, and nine hours over MAC Painterly.
