The formula is supposed to add “sheer luminosity” to the skin with a “creamy” texture that “blends easily.” The powder felt very flat and smooth, but there was a dryness that made it feel a little chalky to the touch–the curiosity was that it didn’t look dry or chalky when applied to the skin, but it was a noisy powder if I rubbed my finger against the surface (that’s unusual). It had semi-sheer, buildable coverage that yielded a soft sheen that didn’t emphasize pores or my skin’s natural texture. This particular shade added noticeable color to my skin, so those fairer or slightly darker may find this works as a highlighting blush/bronzer as well. On my normal-to-dry skin, the powder highlighter wore well for eight hours before fading.
