MAC Purpurine Lipglass ($16.50 for 0.17 fl. oz.) is described as a “sheer peach shimmer with pink and gold pearl.” It’s a peach-tinted clear base with gold and white micro-shimmer with larger pink sparkle/shimmer. MAC Glass Slipper (LE, $15.00) has less shimmer. MAC Happily Ever After (LE, $15.00) has teal shimmer. MAC Beautiful Moves (LE, $22.00) is cooler-toned. Dior Gold Rain (164) (LE, $29.50) is all gold. MAC Viva Glam Rihanna 2 (LE, $15.00) is cooler-toned but looks very similar applied. MAC Clear Water (LE, $15.00) has less pink shimmer. Chanel Eau de Rose (86) (LE, $27.00) is pinker. MAC has released several of these very shimmery, very sheer glosses in the past couple of years, so while always pretty and sparkly, they can get repetitive if you’re not someone who goes through them (as most of them have been limited edition). The texture is thick and tacky, as most Lipglasses are, though this shade felt thicker than some of the more recently released sheerer Lipglasses, so it actually felt heavy. It lasted for three hours on me and was neither hydrating nor drying.
