Here are the other four shades of MAC Electric Cool Eyeshadow ($21.00 for 0.07 oz.) launching with the A Novel Romance collection (August 14th online, August 21st in-stores). To recap, these have a sponge-like texture with some spring, so they are a cream eyeshadow but dry down and set to more of a powder finish. If you’ve tried Chanel’s Illusion d’Ombres or Buxom Stay There Eyeshadows, these are similar in regards to texture. The performance of these really ranges from shade to shade, and the major weakness is really in the application/texture as some shades sheer out easily or apply unevenly (usually the darker shades). They don’t crease easily, and only the very sparkly shades have a bit of fall out.

MAC Pure Flash! Electric Cool Eyeshadow ($21.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “pale champagne.” It’s a light, peachy-beige with warm undertones and a frosted finish. It had mostly opaque color in one layer, and it applied evenly for the most part on the lid. It doesn’t crease, and I only noticed slight fading after nine hours of wear. Marc Jacobs Beauty Honey Bunny (400) (P, $28.00) is cooler-toned. Divergent Humble Sheen (LE) is a powder. Tom Ford Beauty Orchid Haze #1 (P) is darker, powder. NARS Jezebel (P) is a powder. Too Faced Cheers! (LE, $16.00) is a powder. Kat Von D Precious (LE) is a powder. Disney by Sephora Splendid (LE) is a powder. MAC Naked Lunch (P, $15.00) is slightly pinker, powder. MAC Superwatt Electric Cool Eyeshadow ($21.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “light shimmering taupe.” It’s a medium-dark, warm-taoned taupe brown with a hint of gray and frosted, metallic finish. It was mostly opaque with one layer of product, which could be sheered out for more of a wash if desired. The color wore well for eight and a half hours before starting to fade. Marc Jacobs Beauty Au Revoir (406) (P, $28.00) is slightly darker. YSL Saharienne #4 (P) is darker, powder. NARS Himalia (P, $29.00) is powder. Giorgio Armani #09 (P, $32.00) is darker, powder. Clarins Forest #4 (LE) is less shimmery, darker, powder. Too Faced Crisp Apple Strudel (LE, $16.00) is warmer. Urban Decay Shakedown (LE, $18.00) is darker, warmer. MAC Blacklit Electric Cool Eyeshadow ($21.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “black with multidimensional pearl.” It’s a soft, medium black with multi-colored sparkle–the teal sparkle seems to dominate. It had semi-opaque color coverage that applied evenly for the most part. It was buildable with two to three layers. The color lasted for eight hours with minor fall out. MAC Tonight’s Temptation #2 (LE, $21.00) is darker, powder. CoverGirl Molten Black (300) (P, $4.99) is cooler-toned, powder.. Sephora Collection Jungle Party (09) (P, $13.00) is greener. Sephora Collection Animal Instinct (01) (P, $13.00) is less multi-colored in its shimmer. Urban Decay Oil Slick (P, $18.00) MAC Cinderfella (P, $21.00) is a powder. MAC Switch to Blue Electric Cool Eyeshadow ($21.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “rich cobalt.” It’s a muted, medium-dark blue with a pearly sheen. It seemed to have good color payoff, but it had a tendency to sheer out and apply unevenly on the lid. The color wore well for eight hours before starting to fade slightly. Make Up For Ever I-22 (P, $21.00) is brighter. Dior Atlantique #4 (LE) is lighter, powder. Sleek MakeUP Acid #5 (P, $9.99) is powder, more shimmery. MAC A Sprinkle of Blues #3 (P, $21.00) is darker, powder. MAC Tonight’s Temptation #1 (LE, $21.00) is darker, brighter, powder. Urban Decay Radium (P, $18.00) is lighter, powder.
