MAC Moons of Saturn Full Face Kit ($40.00 for 0.33 oz.) includes two Cream Colour Bases and one Sculpting Powder. The Cream Colour Base formula is supposed to have sheer, buildable coverage with a dewy finish that lasts for “eight hours on face and body” and has “lasting wear for hours on eyes. I tend to prefer Cream Colour Bases on cheeks for better wear and application, but for use on eyes, they’re best used as an all-over wash of color or on the brow bone to add shine. I think this particular kit worked well together, though I’m expecting that the more orange-toned powder to be less-than-ideal for many as it is very warm and orange.

Rhea

Rhea is a bright, medium pink-coral with warm undertones and a natural sheen. It had a really creamy, smooth consistency that was blendable and easy to work with on the skin. What I liked was how easy it was to get sheerer coverage that looked like a stain as well as more opaque color without it feeling or looking greasy. On me, the color wore well for eight hours as a blush and six hours as an eye product.

Gypsum

Gypsum is a light-medium gold with fine light gold and medium gold pearl. It was rather sheer, and it was not buildable, so it always looked like a sheer wash of sheen with no color (on my skin tone). It seemed like it had a mostly translucent base, so I don’t expect too much color to show even on very fair complexions. The consistency was moderately emollient with more slip, but it didn’t migrate over time, though it seemed to wear away after seven hours on the cheeks and only lasted for a few hours on my eyes before creasing.

Natural Sandstone

Natural Sandstone is a medium brown with strong, warm orange undertones paired with a matte finish. It had medium coverage that was somewhat buildable. The consistency was drier, not too firm in the pan, so it was blendable on the skin and I was still able to get product onto the brush without having to jab at the pan to do so. It lasted for seven hours on me before fading.
