Jouer Mure Long-Wear Lip Crème Liquid Lipstick ($18.00 for 0.21 fl. oz.) is brighter, medium pink with subtle, cool, blue undertones and a matte finish. The liquid lipstick was thin but not watery, so the product was spreadable but did not appear streaky or uneven on the lips. It dried down to a matte finish that was a bit softer and not as flat-looking as other shades in the range, though there was color that settled and dried down into a couple of my deeper lip lines. The color stayed on well for just over six hours before fading noticeably, though it was mostly non-drying.

The formula is supposed to be “weightless” with “full coverage color” that “lasts all day.” It is the type of liquid lipstick that dries to a matte, transfer-proof finish. I find the formula varies from semi-opaque to opaque coverage with the more metallic shades often being more semi-opaque and buildable. The texture is thin but not watery, so they dry down a little faster than average, but I rarely feel like I don’t have enough time to apply or that the application is difficult. The wear ranges from five to eight hours, depending on the shade, and the formula is non-drying to slightly drying, depending on the shade. The formula has a strong, sweet scent–almost like caramel and vanilla to me.

Jouer Cabernet Long-Wear Lip Crème Liquid Lipstick ($18.00 for 0.21 fl. oz.) is a rich, deep red with cool undertones and a matte finish. The color was absolutely stunning–so rich but very cool-toned–but it did not apply as well as I expected it would. Normally, red lip colors are quite pigmented but this was only semi-opaque. The formula was thin and did not apply evenly, which made the lack of opacity more obvious. Thankfully, the formula did allow for a second layer to be applied without causing any issues with application or wear–I just wish this had truly knocked it out of the park! The color wore well for over six hours and left a very slight stain behind. The formula was slightly drying toward the very end of the wear.
