Hourglass Believer GIRL Lip Stylo ($32.00 for 0.09 oz.) is a medium, pinky beige with warm undertones and a natural sheen. It had semi-opaque, buildable color payoff that applied somewhat evenly. The lighter color paired with the more balm-like texture seemed to result in slight unevenness and a greater tendency for the color to dwell in my lip lines. I also saw slight “lines” if I pressed my lips together. It had a creamy, comfortable-to-wear kind of texture that didn’t tug on the lips and felt hydrating over the three hours it lasted on me.

The GIRL Lip Stylo formula is supposed to have “modern color with luxurious hydration for a lustrous finish,” while the brand founder is quoted (on Sephora) stating, “I can build as much–or as little–color as I like.” I would describe the coverage semi-opaque and buildable, which seemed to fit the brand’s description. The consistency was smooth, creamy, and lightweight, but the color still adhered well to the lips (three to five hours, depending on the shade). I definitely felt like I could apply a little here, a little there, and then spread the color out by pressing my lips together for sheerer coverage, or I could apply a single layer and get semi-opaque coverage fairly easily. The formula was incredibly comfortable to wear: lightweight, hydrating, and smoothing. Some balm-like formulas that have more coverage can sit in lip lines, but I felt like these filled them and made them look softer. I didn’t notice any scent or taste.

Hourglass Dreamer GIRL Lip Stylo ($32.00 for 0.09 oz.) is a brighter, medium pink with warm, yellow undertones and a cream finish. It had mostly opaque coverage, which was buildable to full coverage in another layer. The texture was smooth, creamy, moderately emollient, and comfortable to wear. There were a few noticeable streaks along the edge of my lips that I could not seem to press or maneuver them away. The lipstick lasted for three and a half hours, was hydrating, and had some color that settled into my lip lines noticeably over time.

Hourglass Creator GIRL Lip Stylo ($32.00 for 0.09 oz.) is a muted, medium pink with neutral-to-warm undertones and a natural sheen. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that applied evenly and smoothly to the lips. This was one of the lighter shades that seemed to apply a bit better with minimal color that settled into my lip lines (really only visible in my deepest lip line). The consistency was lightweight, creamy without being heavy or thick, and had some slip. It wore well for four hours and was moisturizing to me.
