Next up in our look at some of the new shades in the Givenchy Le Rouge ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) range are three pinks. The Le Rouge formula is best described as a creamy, richly pigmented, hydrating lipstick that has a light, natural to luminous shine. It is rose-scented with no discernible taste (from what I could tell). It’s long-wearing, comfortable to wear, and usually makes my lips look better than they do naturally as the consistency and texture make them appear smoother.

Givenchy Rose Perfecto (209) Le Rouge ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as an “electric bright pink.” It’s a brightened, medium fuchsia pink with cool, blue undertones and a soft shine. It had rich, full color coverage in a single pass, and it applied evenly and left lips looking fuller and smoother. This shade wore well for almost six hours on me. These days, we’re fairly inundated with bright pinks, so it’s not really a unique shade; what makes it slightly different than your typical neon fuchsia is really that it isn’t that neon–it’s bright but not blindingly blight, but it is not a dark fuchsia either. MAC Kelly Yum-Yum (LE, $16.00) is slightly more matte. MAC Happy-Go-Lucky (LE, $16.00) is lighter. Bite Beauty Satsuma (LE, $24.00) is lighter, more matte. Marc Jacobs Beauty Gossip (140) (LE, $30.00) is more matte. Urban Decay Anarchy (P, $22.00) is darker. MAC Pink Pigeon (P, $16.00) is darker. Givenchy Rose Dahlia (210) Le Rouge ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “bubblegum pink.” It’s a light-medium, cool-toned pink with strong, blue undertones. It almost looks a little grayish against my warmer skin tone. It had mostly opaque color payoff, but the texture seemed less forgiving–it didn’t look as smooth or as even applied as Rose Perfecto. This shade lasted for four hours on me. NARS Villa Lante (LE, $25.00) is warmer, darker. MAC Divine Choice (P, $22.00) is sheerer. MAC Snob (P, $16.00) is lighter, cooler-toned, less pink. Givenchy Hibiscus Exclusif (302) Le Rouge ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “muted neon pink.” It’s a medium, very subtly cool-toned pink with a soft shine. I’d buy that it was a “muted neon pink,” as its brightness seems to fall somewhere between normal and neon–a little shy of “bright” even. The undertone seems to lean slightly blue when swatched and worn, but it looks almost warm-toned at times, yet when swatched next to truly warm pinks, it looks decidedly cooler–but your natural skin tone may pull it one way or the other (more “your mileage may vary” than usual). The color was richly pigmented and applied evenly and smoothly. It wore well for five hours when I tested it. Bite Beauty Damask (LE, $28.00) is lighter, warmer. Bite Beauty Vigne (P, $24.00) is a touch darker. Chanel Fougueuse (138) (P, $34.00) is sheerer. Giorgio Armani #505 (LE, $32.00) is brighter, darker. Urban Decay Turn On (P, $22.00) is darker.
