Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Solo Eyeshadow ($32.00 for 0.053 / 0.061 oz.) is the newest eyeshadow formula from the brand. It’s supposed to be a soft, highly pigmented, and long-lasting formula. The three below have good color payoff, soft, silky textures, and all wore well for eight hours, with the matte shade lasting just shy of eight hours before creasing slightly. The matte shades contain 0.053 oz., while the shimmery shades contain 0.061 oz.

Giorgio Armani #09 Eyes to Kill Solo Eyeshadow ($32.00 for 0.061 oz.) is a golden taupe with a frosted, almost metallic, finish. The color payoff was excellent, and the texture was soft, smooth, and buttery. Maybelline Nude Compliment (90) (LE, $6.99) is a cream product. Makeup Geek Moondust (P, $5.99) is a touch darker. MAC Silver Dawn (LE, $19.50) is darker, less shimmery. Giorgio Armani #16 Eyes to Kill Solo Eyeshadow ($32.00 for 0.061 oz.) is a smoky, muted purple with neutral-to-warm undertones and a soft, frosted finish. It had excellent pigmentation, and the texture was incredibly soft and buttery. MAC Pearled Earth (P, $15.00) is a touch grayer. Too Faced Candied Violet (P, $16.00) is more sparkly. Makeup Geek Drama Queen (P, $5.99) is darker, brighter. Urban Decay Rapture (LE, $18.00) is brighter. MAC Winterized (LE, $21.00) is similar. Giorgio Armani #01 Eyes to Kill Solo Eyeshadow ($32.00 for 0.053 oz.) is a medium-dark black with a matte finish and neutral undertones. It has a very soft, silky texture that doesn’t get powdery but is thin, so it applies better in practice than merely swatched. It had fairly good color payoff, and it was very blendable on the skin.
