Fenty Beauty Summer Nights Iridescent Lip Luminzer Trio ($32.00 for 0.30 oz.) contains three iridescent glosses that are designed to “apply sheer” so they can be worn “solo for a prismatic wash of color” or over another lipstick “for endless new combinations.” I found that this trio was a little more pigmented than sheer–more like semi-sheer to medium in coverage. The gloss formula was smooth, non-sticky, and comfortable wear with decent longevity given that they were a sheerer, non-sticky formulation (tackiness usually helps improve wear times in my experience). I didn’t detect any scent or taste, but vanillin is listed as an ingredient, so I’d expect that those with better noses may detect a subtle vanilla scent.

Snake Skin

Snake Skin is a medium, reddish-brown base with gold-to-green shifting pearl that gave it a more metallic finish. It had medium coverage, which looked more opaque from afar as the high-shine finish paired with the intense, reflective finish made it hard to detect the sheerness. The texture felt smooth, lightweight, and wasn’t sticky. It wore well for four and a half hours and was moisturizing over time.

Mermaid Thighs is a muted, medium-dark lavender with subtle, cool undertones and coo blue and lavender pearl. It had semi-sheer coverage that applied fairly evenly across my lips in smooth, fluid strokes. The gloss was lightweight, smooth without being tacky or thick, and easy to work with. It lasted for four hours and was hydrating while worn.

Vaycray is a medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and warmer gold and peach shimmer. It had sheer color payoff, as described, that applied fairly evenly and had good shimmer dispersion. There was a touch of product that sat in my deeper lip lines, though the glossy finish and reflective pearl hid it from visibility from a normal viewing distance. It wore well for four hours and was moisturizing while worn.
