Estee Lauder Emotional (140) Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “warm, rusty brown.” It’s a medium-dark red with strong, warm undertones and a luminous shine. It had mostly opaque color coverage–there was a slight translucency overall–and long-wear that topped in at six hours, plus it left a residual stain. It was moderately hydrating and comfortable to wear. Fyrinnae Winter Romance (P, $7.00) is slightly darker. Tom Ford Beauty Rouge Fatal (LE, $45.00) is brighter. Marc Jacobs Beauty Showstopper (134) (P, $30.00) is similar. Chanel Enigmatique (135) (P, $34.00) is more matte, lighter. NARS Majella (P, $25.00) is more matte. Estee Lauder Decadent (150) Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “deep, rich red-brown.” It’s a slightly muted, medium-dark reddish-brown that almost looks like a really warm-toned plum. It had mostly opaque color coverage with a little translucency, but the consistency was lightly creamy, so the lipstick was easy to apply and comfortable to wear for the five hours it lasted on me. Tom Ford Beauty Bittersweet (03) (LE, $49.00) and Bobbi Brown Plum Shimmer (3) (P, $25.00) are lighter, sheerer. Maybelline Untainted Spice (950) (P, $7.49) is cooler-toned, less red. MAC Studded Kiss (LE, $16.00) is redder, darker, more matte. Chanel Farouche (122) (P, $34.00) is more matte, slightly browner. NARS 413 BLKR (LE, $26.00) is a touch redder, matte.
