The formula is supposed to be "richly pigmented with a satin finish" that is "long-lasting," "comfortable," and "hydrating." The lipstick was pigmented with a slightly stiffer/firmer feel, so it felt thinner with minimal slip. I wouldn't describe application as painful, but there was a bit of pulling.

The lipstick adhered evenly for the most part but could have been more smoothing and forgiving of lip texture/lip lines. The lightest shades tended to emphasize lip lines a bit over time.

I found the texture made the formula last longer than average on me, but those who are more sensitive to "cling" may find it not as comfortable as desired. I did not feel like it was clingy in a bad way, where it felt drying or uncomfortable, though.

The formula did not have any noticeable scent or taste.
