NYX English Rose is shimmery and slightly lighter. NARS Angelika is slightly bluer-based and has some glitter. MAC Divine Desire is shimmery. MAC Pink Tea is lighter and shimmery. During Sephora’s most recent sale, I bought Bed of Roses, because one of the things I love about high-end is the textures you’ll find. I liked Edward Bess’ other powders, so blush was next on my list to try. The texture is soft, velvety, and silky-smooth but not powdery. It applies well with color coverage that’s buildable and blendable, so you can control the intensity but will still show up on darker complexions. While the finish is mostly matte, the more the powder is worked into the skin, the more luminous it becomes with a subtle, satin sheen. It lasted eight hours with light fading becoming noticeable after nine hours of wear, which was impressive.
