Dior Reveuse (271) DiorShow Fusion Mono Eyeshadow ($31.00 for 0.22 oz.) is a blackened navy blue with lighter blue and navy blue shimmer and sparkle. It had semi-sheer coverage, which did not build up and was difficult to blend out for an even layer of coverage. The texture felt comparable to other shades in the formula, but the intensity was lacking. Where a lighter shade might be more useful, darker shades like these look patchy and splotchy when they are so sheer. This would be best used patted over a stronger base color. It wore well for eight hours with very little fall out. Apparently, this shade was released in 2014, and it didn’t even register as familiar (perhaps because it was disappointing then and now). It is actually quite different from the original, because this one didn’t flake away and had a much cooler undertone, but it was very sheer instead. It had good color coverage, which was mostly opaque and built up to full coverage with just a little more product layered on top (not even a full second layer). The consistency was smooth, lightly emollient but not truly wet or slick to the touch, and blended out easily. It had decent color payoff, though it was not opaque, and it was buildable to mostly opaque coverage. The issue I had with it was how dry it appeared on the skin, despite the texture feeling spongy, lightly creamy, and smooth to the touch–there was no indication from the texture itself that it was going to look dragged out and uneven around the edges, like a drier product might. Dior DiorShow Fusion Mono Eyeshadow ($31.00 for 0.22 oz.) is supposed to be a long-wearing, cream-based eyeshadow with “brilliant colour.” The wear well on me, easily for eight hours and up to ten hours, and have a sponge-like consistency that doesn’t feel to wet but is not a powder either. The texture is thin, lightweight, and blendable on the skin, but the pigmentation can vary a lot from shade to shade with more recent releases tending to lean sheerer.
