ColourPop Birthday Suit Super Shock Cheek ($8.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “neutral pink with a satin finish.” It’s a muted, medium pink with subtle, neutral-to-warm undertones and silver-ish micro-shimmer. Though the finish is described as a satin, I’ve found that the shimmer is very hard to see on the skin–they all look semi-matte once they get blended out on the skin. The texture is lightweight, blends easily without looking streaky or uneven, and stays put for eight and a half hours before fading becomes apparent. The texture is sponge-like–a definite cream-based product, but it lacks the slip of most traditional cream blushes. It is supposed to have buildable coverage with the most coverage achieved when applied with fingertips, but even applying with fingertips, I was only able to get semi-sheer pigmentation out of this shade, which was comparable to the coverage achieved using a denser synthetic brush. You can use a duo fiber or stippling brush for sheerer application that is still buildable to semi-sheer color payoff, if desired.
