The blush is made up of two distinct colors–a gold-shimmered peach and a warm, reddish-brown–that swirl together to create what you see applied. You can get deeper, richer color by concentrating the brush along the sides, or you can lighten the color up more by concentrating on the center. I went for equal parts (to whatever degree that seemed achievable) for most of the application, and then I tried to get a little more of the lighter shade to dust along the tops of cheek bones (like a highlighter) to give it more dimension. The consistency of the powder was soft, smooth, and finely-milled, which made it a cinch to apply to the skin as well as when it came down to blending the edges away. It had good color payoff, and the finish on this shade seemed slightly more frosted than other shades I tried, to the point that it seemed to emphasize pores just slightly. On me, the color lasted for eight hours before fading.
