Chanel Tweed Coralline Les Tissages de Chanel Blush ($48.00 for 0.19 oz.) is a bright, medium coral with a hint of pink and a satin finish. The finish was naturally luminous without reading shimmery, frosted, or sparkly.

Very long-time readers may remember this blush type releasing many moons ago–I feel like it has been ages since I have seen this pattern emerge from Chanel’s archives! The formula is described as a “sheer blush harmony” that is “woven with shimmering powder.” I’d love to know if the person who wrote that description actually tried either of the shades just made available, because they are anything but sheer. In fact, Coralline is intensely pigmented where a little went a long way–I would highly recommend using a lighter hand or a more feathery, less dense blush brush when working with these to control coverage. The texture was soft, smooth without being dusty, and blended easily on my skin. It wore well for eight and a half hours before fading.

If you normally love pigmented blushes, I think it might be right up your alley! If you were hoping for the “sheer blush harmony” Chanel described, the formula’s pigmentation level may be overwhelming.

Chanel Tweed Cherry Blossom Les Tissages de Chanel Blush ($48.00 for 0.19 oz.) is a dark, pinky red with cool undertones and a satin finish. There was just enough shimmer to give this a natural look on the skin–not flat but not metallic or distinctly shimmered. The powder was finely-milled, soft enough to blend out well but not kick up a ton of powder in the pan, but it was incredibly pigmented–contrary to the “sheer blush harmony” description–that little was needed for a visible pop of color. I preferred a fan brush or highlighting brush with this shade, as it gave me better control. This shade lasted for nine hours on me before fading noticeably.
