Burberry Oxblood No. 214 Lip Mist ($33.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a medium-dark, reddish berry with subtle, warm undertones and a luminous sheen. It had semi-opaque color coverage–a lot more than the “subtle hint of color” described (though they allude to more buildable color, as they give a tip to apply “twice for stronger colour”), which may be a happy problem for some to have. It lasted for four and a half hours and was nicely hydrating. This shade is also available in the permanent range, just in regular packaging. NARS Vera (P, $32.00) is cooler-toned. Burberry Gold No. 217 Lip Mist ($33.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a light, subtly warm-toned beige with faint gold shimmer and a glossy shine. It had semi-sheer color coverage; the base color gave my lips a lighter, more beige-hue with some shimmer. The color pulled into lip lines shortly after applying, and it worsened as it wore. The color only wore well for two and a half hours. It was comfortable to wear during that time, though. Tom Ford Beauty Solar Gold (LE, $49.00) is less glossy.
