Bite Beauty Peacock Pearl Prismatic Multistick ($24.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a blackened brown base with green-to-teal shifting pearl. As a cheek or eye color, I could see it working better on deeper skin tones, as the underlying base color was a little uneven and patchy on the skin but a skin tone closer to that base would minimize how visible that was. On my skin tone, it was more apparent. This shade applied the most evenly and was most buildable on the eyelid compared to the others released, but I had no luck with wear time (consistent with my experience with the original Multistick formula).

The texture was lightweight, thin, and slightly emollient so there was a dewy finish on the skin and a fine pearly sheen. This shade seemed to have the least sparkle/impact of the shades released. As a lip product, the pearl dispersed evenly on the lips, and the base provided medium coverage in color, but there was some product that pulled into my lip lines and some of the shimmer particles clumped in places. It lasted for less than an hour on my eyelids, eight and a half hours on my cheeks, and four hours on my lips. I think getting Bite’s Peacock Pearl gloss is a better option if you’re looking for a transformative lip color, though.

Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to have "weightless, layerable color" that can be applied to "eyes, cheeks, and lips" with a "breathable, blendable, and buildable" formula. These are a shimmering take on the brand's previous Multisticks. I found the general feel and performance to be in line with the original formula with the shimmery shades seeming to have a bit more slip and less "powderiness" to them. They base seemed to be more translucent and never buildable to full coverage, and the coverage was semi-sheer to semi-opaque, depending on the shade.

I didn't have good luck with the Multisticks on eyes (they creased incredibly quickly on me--in minutes, typically!), and I'm sad to report that the Prismatic finish did not go much better for me. I had a lot of trouble applying them evenly onto the lid except when patting them onto the lid and sheering out with my fingertip for a one-and-done eyeshadow look, but I could not build them up or get them to apply evenly on the lid. The only shade that worked decently on the lid (just in terms of application) was Peacock Pearl as it had finer pearl and less larger sparkle. They settled into my creases quickly and did not have any staying power on my eyelids, even over primer or dusted with translucent powder (the wear was better but still dismal).

The formula has performed the best as a cheek color for me, as the were very much as described–blendable and buildable. I liked to use a synthetic blush brush to swirl on the color and then used my fingertips to blend out the edges. The product doesn't dry down fully, so there was a dewy glow in addition to the subtle pearl/sparkle on the skin. I think that the shine and luminosity are more apparent in person than in photos for this particular product. They applied decently enough as a lip color, but there were issues with the product settling into my lip lines with some shades. They were more comfortable and felt a little more balm-like on the lips than the original Multisticks, which had a thicker, drier, and more powdery feel on my lips. The wear time was between three and five hours.
