Becca Raspberry/Opal Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle ($27.00 for 0.20 oz.) is described as a “raspberry infused with golden opal.” It’s a muted, medium warm-toned plum with gold shimmer and a frosted sheen. Sephora + Pantone Universe Bridal Rose (LE) is more metallic, cooler-toned, powder. MAC Scene to Be Seen (Inner) (LE, $30.00) is darker, powder. This is one of the “cooler”-toned shades in the range, though they all seem to be on the warmer side. It had good, buildable color payoff that was mostly opaque and could be sheered out if desired. The finish is more metallic–straddling that fine line between frost and metallic–and just very slightly emphasizes the pores on my cheeks. In person, I don’t think it’s too noticeable unless you’re really looking for it. The formula delivers the “pop of color” promised along with the “illumination.” It has a wet, spongy texture that feels airy and whipped, so it’s extremely easy to apply and blend on the skin (whether bare or over foundation). It has a slightly tart, fruity scent that I can detect in the jar but not really applied. This shade lasted for seven and a half hours on me before showing signs of fading.
