I am so chomping at the bit for your reviews on this (and the Dior) Spring collections! Both of the collections really speak to colors I love to wear in the Spring. I am particularly fond of the packing with this collection; it’s so beautiful. The Couture Palette, mascara, and polishes are all on my Wish List!
YSL lost me a long time ago. Trying to be innovative but the quality is not there any longer.
Normally I don’t connect with YSL or pastels, but that eye palette and the nail shades MUST BE MINE!
The nail polishes look very cool. Pastels are typically not a good fit for me so I will have to be careful on how I ride the trend. Nails and accessories are an easy way to get in on it.
that compact is lovely
I read review for the rosy polish today on instagram, unfortunately it has some application issues and looks plain light pink, nothing special.
how disappointing 🙁 Thanks for the heads up!
Jane, Thanks for the heads-up on the Love Pink polish! No sense in spending $27 on a “nothing special” pink. I’ll save my money on that one.
Very sorry ladies, I confused it with the one from Givenchy Spring collection 🙁 So it may be still looking great!
My thoughts exactly. I try using pastelles sometimes, most of those times I end up running to the bathroom, removing everything.
Nails are a lot easier when it domes to colours I generally stay away from. The two polishes looks interesting.
been there.. that wash off part 🙁
Peace Green nail polish looks like a lovely shade for spring.
The nail polish in ‘Peace Green’ looks so cool!
YSL is no go without a good review in my book. They lost high status with me sometime ago. The only thing I may get is the mascara depending on how bright it is. I’ve been wanting the aubergine mascara. Green would be fun for spring/summer.
Pretty. I like the packaging and the colours, depends on how well they do. The nail polishes look iridescent, I like.
Peace green nail polish tho! It’ll probably be the only thing I pick up. SO pretty
The pink coral stain looks nice. I’m just not overly excited by all this pastel mania!
The colors are pretty for spring, but I don’t like their shadow formula , don’t need a color correcting powder. Love the mint polish, hope it’s iridescent
Why would a coral lip color be called “Rose” anything?
Anyway, Merry Christmas Christine, and thanks for bringing us another year of the best beauty blog around!
Thank you, Alix! Happy holidays 😀
I am fawning over Peace Green nail polish!!! Reminds me of an Aurora Boreallis! And that eyeshadow palette looks like it may be a perfectly pretty palette for January-March for me, as the next few months I drop down into more of an NC37. But would need to see swatches and read your review first before buying it.
I really want this! YSL makes my favorite nail polish and packaging.
Do you have any information about the Hourglass Spring collection and release times?
I just surprised myself…I love this collection…hope it reviews well
Goodness, all these brands are really jumping on board with the Pantone colors of the year. I like this implementation though!
Ohh – love that mascara and the palette with the greens! Just gorgeous.
Wow, this certainly looks beautiful, both the products and the packaging. I think it neat that the blue polish has rose shimmer and the rose polish has blue shimmer. They really nailed the Pantone COTY and supporting watercolor shades. Quality is the issue, though. Last time I tried YSL eyeshadows, I wasn’t impressed.
I am going to have to stalk the stockists here for that mascara and green nail polish. The palette packaging is gorgeous.
Hmmmm…seeing a lot of Pantone here!
I love that Peace Green nail polish. Reminds me of a shade that was super popular when I was a kid – Wild Orchid by the brand Kiss. Hopefully I can find a less-pricey dupe! Happy xmas!
Looks pretty and fresh for Spring. I will probably get the eye shadow palette and maybe some other items.
*Drooling*, so lovely, the 2 palettes and green polish need to be mine, however, I think I shall be a bit more responsible, as I have been of late, and wait for Christine’s review. Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays everyone!
I want it all- but I know to wait for your reviews Christine! I can work with YSL shadows and I’m very fond of neutrals and pastels for my everyday business look. It’s a beautiful collection, perfect for spring!
Christine, I wanted to wait for your reviews on this collection but when I checked the YSL site, it was showing the shadow palette and nail polishes were all sold out already! I set an “in stock notification” so I guess perhaps they will replenish. I didn’t see them live on either Nordstrom or Sephora yet so I guess that’s January as you indicated. Anyway, my grail piece in the collection was the Peace Green nail polish so I pulled the trigger early and purchased it from Neiman Marcus (they have the entire collection live now sans the mascara) with the hope it will end up being amazing. I still am interested in the eye shadows and the mascara but will show a smidge of self-control and wait for your review.
I actually really like this color story and feel. So fresh!
Definitely more spring-like IMO than Chanel’s take this year.
Look forward to your review!
Ladies, I just found the Peace Green and Love Pink nail polishes at Neiman Marcus! You need to call them, as it’s not on the website yet.
I hope you will review this collection. I really love the eyeshadow colors and would love to hear your thoughts on this and the green polish. Cheers!
