For intense eye looks, I like dual-phase removers like Lancome Bi-Facil, because it gets everything off without a fuss. Generally, I use a cleansing oil (like shu uemura's), which works well to get most makeup off (even intense eye or lip makeup) but may not get into the nooks and crannies.
