Knowledge has really helped me over time, because I’ve actually learned about skincare (but I am by no means an expert) and have a better grasp of what ingredients are well-received, which ones are less so, and ones that most try to avoid. Brands like Origins and Kate Somerville have worked the best for me over the long-haul, and they have a good diversity in product range that I can adapt my routine based on my skin without having to go far. Softer brushes have helped minimize dryness/flaky skin on my problem areas when applying foundation, blush, etc.
