Urban Decay Video Afterglow 8-Hour Blush ($26.00 for 0.23 oz.) is described as a “soft nude.” It’s a softened, medium brown with warm, lightly rosy undertones and a semi-matte finish. The formula is supposed to offer “sheer … wearable, buildable color” that’s “extremely blendable” and wear for “eight long hours.” It’s buildable from semi-sheer to semi-opaque pigmentation that builds to true-to-pan color overall. The texture is soft, silky, and smooth without being too powdery–there is some excess powder kicked up along the edge of the pan–that sits well on the skin and doesn’t accentuate pores or the skin’s natural texture (I’m currently a little dry on my cheeks). It was blendable on the skin, and the color lasted for exactly eight hours before it started to fade away.

As an aside, I had hoped that this would appear cooler-toned (this has no impact on the rating)! I thought it might be able to double as a contour, but it’s still rather warm-toned, so it isn’t the most natural contour on a lot of skin tones. I think Urban Decay’s new color range could have really benefited from a cooler, rosier brown blush (and they’re so hard to find!), especially since Kinky is fairly similar applied. Maybe next time!
