Tom Ford Soleil Afterglow Soleil Contouring Compact ($108.00 for 0.70 oz.) includes a highlighter, blush, and bronzer housed in a white compact, which contains a ton of product (as it should, I suppose, at this price point!). Per the brand, all three are supposed to provide “sheer to medium coverage.” The only one that was true to the idea of “sheer to medium” was the bronzer, whereas the highlighter and blush were rather pigmented.

Soleil Afterglow (Highlighter)

Soleil Afterglow (Highlighter) is a very light pink with neutral-to-warm undertones and a fine, luminous sheen. It appeared more cool-toned on me, though it seemed more neutral/warmer in the pan and swatched heavily. The consistency was smooth, denser and firmer in the pan (typical of this type of formula), and a little drier as the powder came away from the surface. I would recommend using a moderately dense brush with this formula. It had good pigmentation and was easy to apply. The highlighter lasted for eight hours on me before fading.

Soleil Afterglow (Blush) is a bright, medium pink with cool, bluish undertones and a semi-matte finish. It ha good pigmentation that was buildable to full coverage in about one and a half layers. The consistency was firmer in the pan, as it was denser, but it did not seem really stiff–just dense, and a regular blush brush picked up product just fine. There was something about the texture that seemed a bit chalky to me, though. It blended fairly easily and lasted for eight hours on me.

Soleil Afterglow (Bronzer)

Soleil Afterglow (Bronzer) is a muted, medium-dark brown with warm, reddish undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that was blendable on the skin. The texture was in line with the other two shades–denser, smooth on the surface, but required a denser brush to get product to come away from the surface of the pan. This shade wore well for eight hours before fading on me.
