I swatched the TARTE COLORWHEEL BLUSH SET at the Sephora VIB Insider Appreciation event – It was a little hard to read the super small fine print in the back, but it looks like each blush is .084 oz. (vs. .20 reg size), and all of them were decent to great quality. And the pans are big enough to get a brush in there. All of the colors looked very pretty and wearable, the case was lightweight, not too big, good for travel. It takes me forever and ever to even make a dent in a full size Tarte blush, so I think these smaller sizes are great for $44. If you like Tarte blushes, I highly recommend checking this one out asap, as it sold out within the first 30 minutes of the event, and people kept asking when they were going to get more sets. I also swatched the TARTE KISS BLISS LIP SET – $46 for 5 mini matte lip paints ( cherry red, dusky mauve rose, berry, nude light beige, purple berry) with matching mini lip liners ( thirsty, rage, queen, meme, and vibes). There’s a good mix of colors here, but the products are TINY. The box didn’t list the oz, but the lip paints are about 3 inches (including the long cap) and lip liner is about 4 inches, but a lot of it is packaging. The lip liner is super duper skinny (easy to lose or break), is a little hard to twist up, and you can’t twist back down. I think this is way over-priced for very little product (maybe wait for sale), but it’s nice way to try different colors, if you don’t mind the tiny sizes.

Yes, I was seriously tempted by the 10 blush Tarte set, but I have enough blushes, so I skipped, but I know many others will be interested, so I posted my thoughts.

I have a set of mini single Tarte Blushes ( the Chic to Cheek set from holiday 2014) and each one is .05 oz, and per Tarte website, these are .084 oz each, so larger. Mine are .05 oz and I have no problems fitting a blush brush in there, I’ve been using them on regular basis for almost 2 years now, and just hit pan on one (but still have 95% of product left), so it will take me forever to use up even a mini size! I have a full size one that I will probably never finish up in a lifetime, so I think this is a really nice deal.

Thank you for this!! I just ordered the Blush Wheel online because I knew it would sell quickly. Now I’m feeling pretty good about jumping on. I just started getting into Tarte blushes and I love the formula so I’m excited to get my hands on this. I really like most of the colors and I don’t mind them not being full sized as I know I’ll never finish one. I can’t wait to see some swatches soon!

Ah when I saw your comment I went to the site to order it since I do not have any tarte blushes and I use blush every day. But With shipping and taxes it is 71 euro’s?. That’s a lot! So I cancelled the order after filling in everything and finding out the extra costs. Now I reconsider: it’s still good value, only 7€ per blush?.

Katherine T. Avatar

Awwww, still a good deal, but that tax and shipping is ouchie !! That’s how I feel when I try to order products from Europe. I did see it at the Sephora Appreciation Event inside JCPenny, so maybe it will come to Sephora and shipping will be more reasonable for you, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they gave VIB Rouge first chance at it. Hope you can get your hands on it at reasonable cost

Haha! Katherine, I just did something crazy! (For me at least this is pretty crazy) I got up (it’s 10.30 pm here) and I went back to my order and added an extra palette! I just ordered two! No shipping, and taxes about 18 euros. So 105 something for the two blush palettes, hahaha! That’s not bad at all. I will sell the second one! Joehoeeeee! 😀 I’m sure I’m too excited to sleep now. My first order from the US and my first Tarte blush(es).

Katherine T. Avatar

Oh my goodness, that is crazy but makes perfect sense if you can get free shipping and even better if you can sell the 2nd palette, which I’m sure you can with no problems! Wow, I never thought of that. Hope you enjoy ouineque 🙂 I have 5 or 6 Tarte blushes and love them

Oh dear, sometimes I feel like I’ve hijacked poor Christine’s blog, but I know she can’t get to every product and review, especially before something sells out, so I thought I would just post my amateur 2 cents in there. And I know not every reader has easy access to Sephora or the big department stores with all the brands. Of course, my thoughts are only based on initial swatches, will be nowhere as thorough and detailed as her reviews, so take my opinion/thoughts with a grain of salt, but hope it helps readers, and maybe even help Christine pinpoint some of the more promising new products vs. the possible duds, out of the hundreds of new products that are coming out this season.

Thanks so much for the information on the blush palette. As you guessed, I’m VERY interested. Tarte blushes seem to last me forever, so I don’t mind the smaller sizes. I hope I’ll be able to grab one of these when they’re released to the regular VIB (I’m not Rouge this year, booooo!). I wasn’t fast enough to get the last two large blush palettes Tarte has released, so hoping I’ll get lucky with this one.

The size of the KISS BLISS DELUXE TARTEIST CREAMY MATTE LIP PAINT & CRAYON SET doesn’t deter me only because I’ve seen those sizes in other box sets they put out recently. I like to give the formula another go because the only shade I tried was So Fetch and it was patch….. it doesn’t make me want to buy another one at full size. 😉

Calvert Avatar

Oh man, now I’m regretting getting this year’s blush book. I like the colors in this much better. But I can’t excuse having that many blushes!

Deborah S. Avatar

I really love the look of the Tarte blush set and I don’t have any Tarte blushes. However, by the time I got to the website this morning it was already out of stock. Hope they plan to restock or that they show up at Ulta or Sephora.

Man I’m noticing a lot of beautiful cheek sets coming out for the holiday this year! If didn’t have my bomb Nars custom blush palette to use up I’d buy the blush palette. I love Tarte’s Clay Blush formula! I might pick up that lip set as a Xmas gift for my Mom. I know she needs some nice lip products. Never mind just read Katherine T’s comment that they are tiny! LOL

The Color Wheel blush palette is at Sephora.com now!

I picked one up this morning. I rarely buy non-reviewed products, ESPECIALLY holiday products, but I figured worst case scenario: they’re terrible and I return them. 🙂
