Rescue Beauty Lounge Teal Nail Lacquer
Rescue Beauty Lounge Teal Nail Lacquer
Rescue Beauty Lounge Teal Nail Lacquer ($18.00 for 0.40 oz.) is a darkened blue with just the slightest touch of teal. It does not look teal to me in any light–it always reads rather blue to me. Whenever I look at it on my nails, I’m reminded of jeans. This was almost a one coater, though I still ended up with two to ensure it was perfectly opaque. The formula is medium-thick in consistency and applies smoothly without streaking. I love that this color doesn’t turn black even in low lighting.

what makes this polish worth $18? the color is mediocre at best, and easily replaceable. can someone that owns it, or another rbl polish tell me? im very curious. 🙂
If you don’t like the color, then there’s nothing about it that would make it worth $18 to you. I LOVE the color, personally! 🙂
I own a few and plan on buying more! That being said RBL polishes apply super smooth, the brushes are great and most are opaque w/in 1 coat! What more can you ask for? They’re all lovely and the customer service, atleast for me is amazing! Try them. HTH:)
Got to agree about quality and customer service. They ship my orders about two hours after I place them and they’re so friendly and responsive. Sometimes it’s worth it to me to spend more money to buy from a company I really believe in.
That said, they do have the very occasional 50% off sale *ahem* where these sell for $9 each, which is barely more than full-priced OPI and Essie.
thank you everyone for your honest responses. now i think i understand a little better; one coaters are so much better, and good customer service makes all the difference. agreed!
Does anyone have recs. for a more neutral day wear shade. I’m thinnk of picking up Sheer Nude.
Teal is pretty gorgeous, though some of the earlier shades you review are definitely calling to me more. Can’t wait for their 50% off sale.
Thanks so much for these reviews Christine. While I’m sure the photos on the Rescue Beauty Lounge’s website are very accurate and true to color, I feel like you need to see the polish on someone’s nails to get a good idea of what it actually looks like.
My pleasure! I find bottle photos can be misleading, too – like the way it looks in the bottle isn’t always how it does on the nail itself!
love the color but seemes pretty expensive… hmm
Very pretty! It is more blue than what comes to mind when I think of teal, but there is some green in there.
I never, ever consider buying expensive polishes.
But RBL is the one exception. I ordered Mismas (had to have it since I love purple) and was floored at the quality of the formula, from application to drying to glossiness, and was absolutely impressed with the customer service. RBL is a special little company.
I want Mismas so bad, it hurts 🙁 I’m really really hoping Ji will bring that one back. I even looked on ebay. 30 bucks. really? 18 is painful enough, but I will pay that to the company, since they are amazing. But I refuse to pay that to an individual looking to profit.
This is one of my faves!!! It looks great all year round!
Are you getting in on the sale tomorrow?
Definitely!
