Brand's Description

Urban Decay’s groundbreaking new eye shadow formula. This reformulation of Urban Decay’s eye shadow features even softer, amazingly velvety texture; richer, more dense and decadent color; smoother, more uniform pigment distribution and blendability; and longer-lasting, more crease-free wear. The new line of shadows features a completely revamped assortment of shades, new textures, and a totally redesigned token compact. The secret to the new formula is Urban Decay’s Pigment Infusion System™, a vehicle for color that holds tightly to pigment and gives the formula its glide. The proprietory blend of ingredients allows color to weave itself through the formula resulting in insane color payout, color that stays on your lids, and sparkle that doesn’t fall. The amazing technology works for every shade and finish. Every Urban Decay shade is silky, blendable, and stays put.

Dirtysweet is such a wonderful lid colour for me. I have about 5 or 6 of the listed dupes and while they're all nice shadows, none of them is quite as nice on me as Dirtysweet. It's a pretty light bronzed gold shade with a glow-y finish. I know that the Naked Smoky palette wasn't very well received but it's a palette I really love using and this colour - which I love on the mobile lid with some dark liner for an easy but flattering look - makes me glad I purchased the palette.

I adore this shadow. The shift is subtle, but in that kind of fairy-like, ethereal way. I like applying it wet on top of a matte lavender shade for maximum duochrome goodness.

On the whole I really enjoy Urban Decay's eyeshadow formula. I find them easy to work with, long-lasting, and the range of colours is great. I would appreciate being able to buy their shadows in a single refill pan, but I don't mind having the single compacts as the packaging is nice enough. I find Free Love to be a little more sheer than some of their other shimmer shades, but I tend to use it over the top of other shadows to add a bit of something extra.

I really love warm, rich eyeshadow colours and Spike is no exception. I find it easy to blend, and easy to build a look around - very versatile.

I use ABC Gum as an all-over base shade every single day, have done for a few months with no sign of hitting pan. Would recommend to anyone, especially those with a fair skintone like myself.

My favorite \"black\" ... to me it is the darkest black-brown. I use it with a wet brush as an eyeliner. As it wears down and blends in during the day, it reads brown smudge, not \"gray\" smudge. This is very desirable to me. Reminds me of old favorite Bare Minerals \"Retro\" liner-shadow... brown-black is much more flattering on my warm/neutral skin than cool grey-black. Wish it came in a single. I wear it with black mascara. I use it as brow powder for a bolder brow look.

The best eyeshadow color ever, but it doesn't come as a single.

This is a very odd formulation. Purchased Jan 2018 and the ingredients have changed. Incredible performance in every way... Except it literally cannot build, anywhere. It's so slippery (dry) that you can only get one level of pigmentation. This can be great for certain looks, but a deal breaker for building depth. Otherwise incredible, and yes, it's closest dupe is probably ABH love letter, with this being more vibrant and slightly less cool.

I find this color to be a bit chalky and difficult to use as an eyeshadow on its own. However, it works pretty well as a base color over primer, and makes a smooth canvas for other colors to go on top of it. So I do use it every day in this capacity.

I missed out on MAC's Fresh Flare (in their very first Pro Longwear eyeshadow release) and really regretted it. Kush is a very similar colour - a beautiful clear green that is bright but still very wearable. I can tone this down for work or just for my more subdued style by pairing it with mid-toned brown shades like MAC Wedge or UD Naked or Buck and end up with a look that, for me, is a bit different and more colourful than my usual eye looks but still within my comfort zone. I have this in one of UD's larger palettes (BOS 3, maybe) so it's not the most travel friendly but that's not a big deal to me.

This has been my quintessential matte black shadow for years. I use it to supplement my eyeliner to create a smudged look. I also use it to fill in my (black) brows. It's pigmented, has staying power, and a little goes a very long way!

Just wanted to point out that the quality of the shadow is very different depending on which palette you get. The one in the Vice Ltd reloaded is actually really nice, creamy and pigmented whereas the one in the Full Spectrum palette is a pale mess that's pratically nothing but fallout. I'd be curious to know if anyone else noticed that too?

This sadly did not age well. I remember liking it, but after a year it's a chalky mess even though Urban Decay claims 24 months shelf life.

Somehow this is getting a D here, but on the Gwen Stefani palette it is an A-? Anyway, I enjoy this shade a lot, I find it to perform really well - a pretty grey, good to deepen the crease, works well with the other colors in the Gwen Stefani palette. The shimmer isn't really noticeable on the lid, I use it as a matte mostly.

I waited and waited for Thunderbird to arrive in-store at my local Sephora and it was so worth the wait. This is a rich, glowing dark bronze/brown and has the black base that Christine described. The beauty of this black base is that if I pat and press Thunderbird onto my mobile lid and then use a fluffy blending or crease brush to buff out the edges, I get a murky "almost black" shade in my crease. Using just this one shadow gives the effect of having used 2 shades for a sultry effect. Buxom Bronzed Bod is listed as a dupe for Thunderbird. I have it, and it has the same effect - intense bronze when patted or pressed but blend it out and you get the black base acting as a great crease/contour shade.

Applies great for me. My review is to note that on me, it definitely shows green - like a sheer light bright peridot - to gold, in the shift. It doesn't seem to show like that in the swatches, but it really does on me. (Nc25-ish) So much so, that if I re-use the brush or blend with the brush I used in this, I get a light green pearl sheen in the next color I use. This made the shade a bit less versatile for me although it is pretty.

I love the duochrome - it is an orangy peach on me, but then the shift is sheer hot pink, definitely two different shades. On me (NC25 ish) this is not a dark shade, and is fairly wearable. I love it on the lid, with a matte neutral in the crease, as if I use up into the crease, I feel I get an overly bright orange/pink eye look, for my comfort zone. The purpose of my review is to comment that I also use this eyeshadow as a blush/highlighter. I debated getting the Afterdark highlighter version, but decided to just use my Fireball shadow, and I am very happy with it. I just go lightly, and I enjoy the results. I also use Sin eyeshadow and X eyeshadow as highlighters on my cheeks, by the way. I have also dabbed Fireball eyeshadow over lipstick with my finger (two lipsticks that work well for me are Urban Decay Naked, and Revlon Sandalwood Beige) and love the resulting color... it's beautiful. I dab in center of bottom lip and smudge around a bit. On my skintone, doing this lip look, with a bit of Fireball as cheek highlighter, and eyelid shadow, is a super pretty look that wakes up my face and looks cheerful. I love when I can multiuse a product.

I like the richness of the color, but I noticed that it has an insane amount of fallout during wear. Not as much during application, but after a couple hours of wearing this shade (on the outer corners of my eyes) I found a lot of it had migrated to the bridge of my nose. Everything else about it was nice, but seriously, be mindful of the FALLOUT.

just tried this shade (only 6+ months after buying the palette!) and it is the most gorgeous, highly pigmented and blendable fall eyeshadow. my favorite shade of the palette so far.

Can I just say how much I LOVE this eyeshadow (especially paired with its palette-sister, Deeper)? I have this in the 15th Anniversary palette but I'm glad UD had the wisdom to make this stunner a permanent shade. It is a lovely golden bronze shade that is warm but doesn't lean at all red. I can't wear red-toned shadows and yet I really love warmer shades like this one, which is so flattering. It is creamy smooth and pigmented and just a dream to use which is another reason I'm glad it is permanent - I can use it freely without worrying about using it up and not being able to replace it. I just wish UD would get with the program and make shadows available in simple pan form so we could easily put them into our own palettes and not have to pay for packaging we don't even want.

The colour pictured above is actually the shade "Anger", not Furious. If you look at both the packaging and the instruction card for this palette, you will see that "Furious" is the black shadow that shares a pan with "Anger" but the instructions clearly state to use this shimmery white shade as a highlighter and the black shade (Furious) to line. It seems that UD put the first run of these palettes together with the split pan placed incorrectly but they eventually did correct it. My palette has the split pan placed as it should be and as the outer box shows it and, more importantly, to be in line with their own instructions for recreating the Mrs. Mia Wallace "look". So, Anger (labelled here as "Furious") is a wonderful shimmery shade that is great for inner corners but I find it a bit too sparkly to use as a browbone highlight except for evening/parties, etc. Pigmentation and texture are SPECTACULAR.

I initially got the Mariposa palette because I really, really wanted Mushroom but Wreckage has actually been the shade I've used the most in that palette (together with Skimp and Spotlight). It's a really wearable bronzy brown that isn't too dark and even though it has a lot of shimmer, it's not glittery and it applies really nicely. I'm not sure if UD has released this as a single since way back when it came out in Mariposa, but they really ought to, as it is such a flattering colour and not too red for folks like me who don't look great in really red-toned brown shadows.

This colour seems just ok in the pan but a mess to use. Hard to blend, fallout, and no colour can qualify this eyeshadow.

My cheeks were covered in shimmer by the end of the day. More there than on my eyelids. I hadn\'t touched my face during the day, either.
