NYX Be Jeweled Nail Lacquer ($4.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is a blue-teal with teal and gold sparkle that shifts from green to gold. Wet ‘n’ Wild Teal or No Teal is similar in the base color but doesn’t have the same sparkle. ORLY Haley’s Comet is darker, more densely packed with glitter. NYX Paradise has a similar duochrome, but the color is more metallic. Zoya Charla is also similar but is a bit darker and doesn’t seem to shift quite as much.

I fell in love with this color the very first time I used it (which was actually, for once, not for swatches but as a manicure color as I was heading on a trip). I love that it’s very nearly opaque after two coats (there is the slightest hint of visible nail line at certain angles). It really sparkles in a lovely way that’s hard to capture in a still photo, so if you have the opportunity to see it in person, it’s not to be missed! The consistency was on the thicker side but not too thick and didn’t impede application. The glitter distributes evenly overall, but you may need to do a couple of pushes with the brush around the edges. When I wore this on my trip, it lasted a full week with no chips and minor tip wear. NYX’s bottle design is very similar to Deborah Lippmann’s, except the handle is shiny plastic.
