NARS Larger Than Life Lipgloss ($26.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) sees the introduction of two new and permanent shades to the range with the spring collection. For spring, both shades are described sheer (and are). Otherwise, the formula is a thick, tacky gloss that is longer-wearing.  I found both of these fairly sticky but very high-shine.  If you have thinner lips, you’ll love the very small, fine applicator brush for applying the gloss, and if you have fuller lips, it may be less of an upside. After wearing both shades, neither was hydrating nor drying.

Annees is described as a “sheer violet.” It’s a light-medium, pink-tinged lavender with a creamy finish. Applied, it has more of a milky consistency and look, so it doesn’t apply as evenly as one would like and does settle into lip lines. Due to the way it applies, it’s a color I’d apply over a more opaque lipstick or lip liner. It had semi-sheer color coverage. This shade lasted three and a half hours on me. It actually swatched more like Coeur Sucre but ends up looking more like International Velvet applied. Urban Decay Obsessed (P, $19.00) is warmer. MAC Petite Indulgence (LE, $20.00) is slightly darker. MAC Going Casual (LE, $20.00) is lighter. MAC Pagoda (LE, $20.00) is shimmery. Chanel Bagatelle (P, $29.50) is also shimmery. Bimini is described as a “sheer pink guava.” It’s a medium peachy-orange with fine shimmer. It applied evenly, easily, and had sheer coverage. It lasted for four hours on me, which is average wear, but this is a long-wearing formula, so I would have expected even better wear. MAC Good Lovin’ (LE, $15.00) is browner. MAC Satin Slip (LE, $20.00) is darker. MAC Double Happiness (LE, $20.00) is less shimmery. MAC Pure Flattery (LE, $15.00) is similar. MAC Celestial Kiss (LE, $20.00) is less shimmery.
