The formula is supposed to be pigmented, long-wearing, and blendable (for more on how it compares to the previous formula, check out this post). This shade was richly pigmented, which made it easy to apply and get visible color out of, and it should work for several skin tones. The color darkened just slightly, as it had a soft, slightly dusty consistency, on the skin. It had a finely-milled, smooth feel to it, and it blended out beautifully on the skin with the satiny sheen becoming more prominent as the blush was buffed and diffused on the skin. On my normal-to-dry skin, it wore well for eight hours.
