Passport was a real production when it comes to fashion shows - it really felt more like it belonged in Vegas! They had fog/smoke for tons of the shows, plus performances between designers. Passport was a real production when it comes to fashion shows – it really felt more like it belonged in Vegas! They had fog/smoke for tons of the shows, plus performances between designers. They had African dancers and drummers show off their skills, as well as a troupe of hip hop dancers (with little kids even!) that had a solo performance and then they played off the African dancers. Top unicyclists paraded down the stage doing some stunt work about halfway through. Even a motorcycle came revving down the stage at one point!

They had nine segments: The Manor (traditional classic designs for men and women), Marc Ecko was responsible for the unicyclists and motorbike star, plus showed off his line of clothing, Calvin Klein did a series of vignettes of chic, urban people, followed by African youth troupe “The Spirit of Uganda”, a fabulous shoe spectacular by Via Spiga with models/dancers imperonsating famous musicians (Diana Ross, The Supremes, Elvis, etc.), Levi’s was there and the best part was their body-painted male models, Academy of Art showed off student designs, another Calvin Klein collection — underwear — which had all the ladies swooning, and the last runway collection was themed in silver (all are available on eBay as auctions). Of course, the very last performance was by the one an only Dita Von Teese with a toned down version of her famous martini glass show!
