MAC Blush Pink High-Light Powder ($32.00 for 0.35 oz.) is described as a “light pink with silver.” It’s a light, pink-peach with a semi-matte finish. The silver is an over-spray that will disappear after one use. NARS Paloma Highlight (P) is lighter. NARS Sex Appeal (P, $29.00) is slightly darker. Like Nude Pink, this performed more like a setting powder than a highlighter. It took away the natural luminosity of the skin and made my skin look dull and flat, but on the upside, even the paleness of this product didn’t look chalky against my skin tone. Instead of brightening or highlighting, it helped to remove shine and gave my skin a smoother appearance where pores were minimized. I think the powderiness of the texture made it dull the skin, as you could see the powdery finish once applied. If you have oilier skin, it might not look as dry applied (I am normal on my cheeks). It was hard for me to judge how long this wore, but the mattifying effect lasted for six and a half hours before breaking down.
