MAC Summer Wind Cream Colour Base ($21.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described as a “pale sand shimmer.” It’s a light, golden beige with warm undertones and a soft sheen. The Cream Colour Base formula is described as a “multi-purpose” product that can be “applied directly to bare skin, or layered over foundation, moisturizer, or powder.” The effect ranges from a “light veil to highly dramatic, depending on method of application.” In the full range, there are sometimes shades that cannot be worn on lips or eyes, and my press sample didn’t have a warning sheet, so I’m not 100% sure on this, but given that similarly light shades like this (think Pearl, Luna, etc.) are fine all-over, it’s probably the case here. The texture of Summer Wind is lovely; it’s lightweight, thin with little slip, but enough slip that it blends and plays well with bare skin as well as over foundation. It sits on the skin exceptionally well and is less dewy than I’d expect; it’s very your-skin-but-better with a golden glow. On my skin tone, the warmth is less apparent than it might otherwise be on fairer skin tones. On me, it wore well for seven hours before sliding around.

P.S. — There is also another shade (Desert Roadtrip) in this collection, which I don’t have at this time.
