MAC Soiree Nail Lacquer
MAC Cham-Pale: Soiree Nail Lacquer
MAC Soiree Nail Lacquer ($13.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is a is a bright, light bronze metallic-frost with flecks of copper shimmer-glitter. It has a frost finish, and MAC officially describes it as a “sparkly light bronze gold.” While it’s a frost finish, it is also a bit metallic. This is really pigmented–swatches are shown with just one coat–and really easy to work with. It dries down quicker than most MAC polishes. It initially reminded me of Dior’s Timeless Gold, but it’s nowhere near it–warmer, darker, bronzer. Zoya’s Austine is the closest dupe I could come up with, but the finish is quite different, and Soiree is darker.
MAC Cham-Pale is a limited edition launch (official information and photos here) that is set to launch in-stores on December 26th in North American, January 2011 for international MAC locations. The approximate launch date for online is December 24th. It features color products as well as a few skincare items.

So pretty!
So pretty and nice to hear that it is better than older MAC polishes. Sounds like the formula is much better. I will definately try to get hold of this. I really like the pinkiness to it – like a light coloured rose gold.
To me it looks really close to Orly Rage from the Foil FX collection.
love it but have to swatch it first =)
love how it reminds me of rose gold! its too bad it wasn’t released earlier so u could wear it during the holidays!
Wow, that’s one coat?! That makes it seem like a bargain buy! It’s such a pretty color, too.
Gorgeous color !! Perfect for the holidays 🙂
This look like a dupe for a sephora by OPI color.. does anyone know what im talking about? either way its pretty! I will be getting this 🙂
Is it Already Famous that you are referring to? If so, they are somewhat similar but definitely not dupes. This one looks to lean more toward rose gold where AF is a cooler gold. (I hope that helped a bit.) 🙂
BTW – Christine, I’m a ‘long time listener, first time caller’. 😉 I just wanted to take a second to tell you that I really appreciate the time you put into this fabulous resource for makeup junkies like yours truly. Your swatches and reviews are very helpful! Especially, since I do most of my shopping online due to an insane work schedule.
Have a great holiday!
Thank you Bekx!!
Wow!! I wasn’t going to get this or the other polish from this collection. But if that’s one coat, I’m sold!!! I’m always looking for pretty one coaters!
Gorgeous! I love it.
I must buy this color! I have a wet ‘n’ wild one similar to it but it’s almost gone and they don’t sell it anymore.
Christine, I hate you! I was not at ALL excited for Charm-Pale… until I opened up my laptop this morning and started browsing your swatches. You make everything look so perfect!
LOL, but I’m not even THAT excited about anything that’s been posted so far…
A must have!
Prettier than I was expecting.
Yeah, no kidding! 🙂 I was expecting it to look like Silverstruck from Cult of Cherry but it’s nothing like it at all! It’s just too bad MAC didn’t make the formula for Very Important Platinum like this :\ Crazy how 2 polishes within the same collection can yield such different results.
this totally sceams DELICIOUS BUBBLY CHAMPAGNE to me. i love the color and finisH!
Very pretty. I like any kind of gold np
Gorgeous! Def. will be picking this one up.. How does it compare to Mac’s originality?
It looks completely different: http://www.temptalia.com/mac-pret-a-papier-collection-nail-lacquer-review-photos-swatches
looks like wet’n’wild’s color craze polish in shield. (drugstore dupe) It might be a tad less gold, but it has those baby coppery flecks and a pretty metallic finish. the other thing is that it is only about $2-3
wow! so sparkley
Very pretty! Reminds me of Sephora by OPI’s “Already Famous” which I have on my nails now and love!
I may consider getting this one. I have Originality (also a frost), which is a gorgeous color and I was impressed with the way it applied and how long it lasted w/o chipping.
Christine, do you think a pale cool complexion can pull this color off also?? Thanks!!
Yes!
This is much more glittery than I thought it would be (like on the promotion pics).
very beautiful!
I thought this too! Though it seems like Chanel has a bit more complexity to it with slightly more contrast between the copper/silver particles.
