MAC Royal Sunset Blush ($21.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described as a “soft cool peach [with a satin finish].” It’s a warm-toned pink with a hint of coral and a satiny sheen. Royal Sunset had good color payoff and was buildable, blendable, and easy to use. It didn’t look powdery on the skin, and the satin finish didn’t emphasize pores or the skin’s natural texture. It lasted eight hours well on me, which is slightly longer than average for MAC’s satin blushes in my experience. The texture was soft, smooth, and finely-milled. The satin finish looks matte initially, but the more you buff the blush into the skin, the more glowy the finish becomes. MAC paired the warmer, more orange-inspired hues of this collection with grays, and as some readers were uncertain about how everything would work together, I did want to show how they come together (the combination of the quad, blush, and lipstick doesn’t work on my skin tone).
