MAC Bred for Beauty Blush ($21.00 for 0.17 oz.) is described as a “mid-tone blue pink.” It’s a brightened, medium fuchsia pink with cool, blue undertones and a matte finish. MAC Peaches & Cream (LE, $21.00) is warmer. Milani Love Potion (07) (LE, $7.99) is slightly brighter. Clinique Plum Pop (04) (P, $21.00) is more shimmery, lighter. Clinique Berry Pop (03) (P, $21.00) is more shimmery, darker. NARS Coeur Battant (LE, $29.00) is cooler-toned, brighter. The texture of the blush was mostly soft, but it was also thin and somewhat powdery, which made it harder to apply to bare skin (the drier your skin, the harder it will be to apply), as it didn’t want to adhere to the skin. If you typically wear liquid or cream foundation, the slight dewiness of the foundation will help the blush to stick to the skin better. It’s not the most blendable blush, but I didn’t feel like it was impossible to blend. Even though it’s not quite intensely pigmented (because it doesn’t stick), the color can be packed on if desired. Once applied, the color wore well for eight hours before slightly fading.
