L’Oreal The Mystic’s Fortune Nail Lacquer ($6.29 for 0.39 fl. oz.) is a deep, inky blue-based purple with blue and violet shimmer. SpaRitual Blue Moon is lighter and a bit bluer. ORLY Lunar Eclipse has such a different finish, and it’s much brighter. MAC Rain of Flowers is more violet. Zoya Mimi has chunkier shimmer/sparkle. China Glaze First Class Ticket is very similar, though a little more subdued.

It was fully opaque after two coats, and it wasn’t too thick or too thin (though it leaned on the thicker side), so I didn’t have any application problems. There were no bubbles, streaks, or pools of polish gathered along the edges of my nails. I tested out the wear of this shade in particular, and it lasted a full seven days without chipping and had very minor tip wear.
